CASA are specifically trained volunteers who stand up and speak up for children who are in the court system. The children are in the court system due to child abuse and neglect. Volunteers report to the Judge what is in the "Best Interest" for a child after gathering information from the child, family and other individuals involved with the case. The CASA volunteer is generally the most consistent person a the child's life as casemanagers, foster parents and school settings are changing. A CASA remains with the child throughout the entire court process and life of the case.

You must be 21. No felony convictions. No drug use in the past two years. No crimes against children.
There is a mandatory two-day training in Phoenix that you must attend. You must complete 12 training hours a year to continue as a CASA.
You will complete fingerprinting and also have a polygraph test.
