Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (BACA) is a non-profit, 501-C-3 tax exempt organization that exists to provide aid, comfort, safety, and support for children that have been sexually, physically, and emotionally abused. We are dedicated to the principle that one of the basic rights of childhood is to be safe and protected, and when the childs family and environment have failed them, we stand ready to provide it to them. BACA is a strong organization of dedicated individuals that are willing to sacrifice any and all in order to protect and secure the childrens basic right to a happy childhood.
To become a full-patched BACA member a person must have regular access to a motorcycle that will do the speed limit. They must be 18 years old or older. They must successfully pass a background check by not having any convictions for violent or abusive crimes against children. They must attend monthly BACA meetings, rides, court hearings, other BACA events and ride with the BACA chapter for one year. They are then presented to the governing Board of Directors and must be unanimously voted in to become a member. This opportunity is sponsored by: (B.A.C.A.) Bikers Against Child Abuse

OUR GUARDIAN ANGELS....
 |
After living in fear with my 3 kids for so many years, I found our guardian angels....BACA.... they gave us our life back!
The roar of bikes coming down our street and the instant smiles on the faces of my kids .... for the first time we are not afraid to go anywhere and we finally feel safe at home too.
The instant sense of relief is amazing ... the instant smiles on all our faces just hearing our BACA family ride by just to let all know they are there for us and to remind us they are always there for us. Even after the initial phone call to Krash my burden was lifted, just to know someone feels as strongly about my kids safety as much as I do... even if the courts and cops don't consider kids safety ... BACA does.
I started our initial visit with "wow, what a concept ... looking out for kids ... even if you can't help my family please let me be involved" but luckily and thankfully they did help my family.
I think anyone can say they care about kids ...BACA show it.
My children proudly wear their vests and tattoos, and knowing my son (bambam 3yo) is going somewhere unsafe (thanks to the courts who consider fathers rights over-ride kids safety) I always put a BACA tattoo on him before leaving, to remind him he is well looked after. He is only 3 but knows the tattoo stands for "its my body and don't touch.....or else"
If only every child could feel as safe as my kids do now .....Thanks BACA.
My daughter Scruffy (10) commented after our awesome adoption "Mum, they all look so tough but they're all softies" my comment was "only to those who deserve it" .... Poor Krash was worried their reputation was ruined if the word got out ... ha-ha
I am now a proud supporter of BACA and so is everyone who hears about them and sees the difference in me and especially my kids....(we have gone from at least 1 nightmare per kid per night to maybe 1 per week... yay) My daughters sexual abuse counsellor first heard about BACA from me ... she sat back and did some research and waited to see the results, if any, .... she has now made contact with BACA with the view of helping other kids and families as much as they have helped us.
I can't express enough gratitude to BACA. I'm yet to need their help but knowing they are there is enough to keep the baddies away at this stage, but geez its bloody nice to know I can call if I need them.
I love you guys and look forward to getting to know you's all and help in any way I can ....... if u need a lung or kidney just call me!!!
Love u guys and thanks from the bottom of my heart. posted by james01 on October 6, 2006 |
