The Yuma County Library District serves as your center for information, community enrichment, recreational reading, and life-long learning.
Description:
The new Yuma County Library, opened May 21, 2009, provides access to local and global information sources for community residents and visitors. The Yuma main library at 2951 S 21st Dr., offers resources including expanded children's services and programming, Teen Room, future coffee shop and Friends book store. Available for check out are books, books on CD, audiobooks, music on CD's, and DVD's. Also view magazines, databases and free Internet access. All libraries welcome volunteers.
History:
The Yuma Library was established on February 24, 1921. The Yuma County Library District began in 1987. The libraries in the Yuma County Library District are Dateland Branch (located in Dateland Elementary School), Foothills Branch Library, Roll Branch Library (located in Mohawk Valley School), San Luis Branch Library, Somerton Branch Library, Heritage Branch (formerly Main Library) Yuma Main Library and Wellton Branch Library.
