Yuma Ballet Theatre's "mission" is to encourage and promote the excellence of dance in Yuma and Arizona by nurturing the highest artistic and moral values in our dancers.

Description:
Yuma Ballet Theatre has produced hundreds of ballets from full-length classical ballets and neoclassical/ modern to jazz and theatre. Annually we stage two to three major ballet works. Our company consists of 35-50 dancers.Board goals:

1. Train and develop gifted dancers
2. Showcase and support the work of emerging and established choreography
3. Bring dance and dance education to residents of Yuma and the surrounding areas
4. Fortify the artistic community of Yuma County through partnerships and resource sharing with other art and nonprofit groups in the area



History:
Yuma Ballet Theatre is Yuma's original ballet company, established in 1979. YBT was founded by local educators and artists who saw the need for a more professional training and performance arena for the advanced dance artists in the Yuma area.
