Child & Family Services of Yuma, Inc. is a community resource providing advocacy, information and direct services for the benefit of children at risk and their families.
Description:
We provide a therapeutic residential program that promotes family growth and stability. Our residential program serves males and females, birth to 18 years of age, in our 12 bed facility. We are licensed as a Level II Behavioral Health Residential Agency and Outpatient Counseling. If there are no beds available, we will provide crisis intervention, short-term counseling and we do maintain a waiting list for bed availability. If immediate placement is necessary, we will refer the individual to the appropriate community agency.
Restoring family unity is our primary goal. We seek solution based approaches that focus on identifying the behavior and achieving a desired outcome. Behavioral changes are anticipated from the entire family. Child and Family Services maintains contracts with many agencies. However, there are many working families who are not eligible for government funding. Donations and Fund-raising become an important source of funding for these families.
History:
We are a non-profit agency that has been providing services in Yuma County since June 1977. Originally, we began as a program that provided supervision, food and shelter.
