Chicanos Por La Causa,Inc. (CPLC)is a community development corporation committed to building strong, healthier communities as a lead advocate, coalition builder and direct service provider. CPLC promotes positive change and self-sufficiency to enhance the quality of life for the benefit of those we service.

Description:
Chicanos Por La Causa provides Citizenship and Immigration services to families. Victims of domestic violence are assisted through the process of applying for citizenship benefits. Staff provides translation of documents from Spanish to English.

In partnership with the South Yuma County Consortium (Chicanos Por La Causa, Arizona Western College and Somerton School District)Adult Education Classes are offered free of charge. Classes offered are GED, English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education Classes and Citizenship classes.

Immigration Counseling: certified staff assist families in securing Citizenship and legal residence in the United States. Immigration forms are completed, as well as applications for citizenship of adults and children.

Notary Public Services are also provided.

History:
Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) was founded in 1969 in Phoenix, Arizona and established in Yuma County in 1977 in response to community needs. From its inception, CPLC has been a leading advocate in social services, housing, education and employment training.
