The Mission of The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club provides programs for youth ages 5 - 12 in the Arts, Character & Leadership, Health and Education, Sports & Recreation and Technology.
After-school Program: Recreational program for youth ages 5 - 12 providing sports, arts & crafts, homework assistance, computer lab and more.School pick up available at most schools.
Intersession: All day care during school intersession includes all the above activities plus field trips and guest speakers. Lunch is provided.
Summer Day Camp: All day care during summer includes the above activities plus swimming, guest speakers, field trips, music & dance, etc.... Breakfast and lunch is provided by Yuma School District #1.

History:
In 1965, Monsignor Maurice founded the Boys Club of Yuma. It was originally located in the basement of a church. In 1972, the Boys Club of Yuma built the facility at 1100 S. 13th Avenue. The Girls Club of Yuma was founded in 1973 and originally met at a building on 8th Avenue. In 1982, the Boys Club of Yuma and the Girls Club of Yuma merged to become the Boys & Girls Club of Yuma. In 1999 - the club opened in the city of Somerton. In August of 2002, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Yuma formed an alliance with The Salvation Army and officially became The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs, the first such partnership in the western United States.
