Volunteer Solutions is a nonprofit organization founded in 1997 by a group of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) students, recipients of MIT's prestigious Entrepreneurship Award. They developed an exciting website, supported by a comprehensive database of volunteer opportunities.

- Helps you recruit volunteers. We provide opportunities through mailings to businesses, schools, libraries and individuals; the Internet, public relations events like volunteer fairs, and the media. Additionally the Institute will provide display areas for nonprofit brochures.
- Provides technical assistance. We provide Internet grant research, grant writing assistance and technical assistance for the use of Volunteer Solutions.
- Holds series of training sessions for nonprofits, held quarterly, covering such topics as board development, grant writing, cultural competency, media and public relations, and strategic plan development.
- Encourage collaboration among nonprofits.
- Provides a forum for nonprofits to have a legislative voice through a connection with a representative of the Chamber of Commerce.
